A 43-year-old man has been arrested on 18 felony charges related to child sex crimes dating back to 2020, police said.

The victims are juvenile males.

Eric Chapman, who has been identified as a Cortez High School teacher in the Glendale Union School District, was arrested April 16 “after it was learned he was involved in the sexual exploitation of minors,” a Phoenix Police Department release stated.

Chapman was booked into Maricopa County Jail for 11 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and seven counts of sexual conduct with a minor, police said.

The school district administration is cooperating with police during the department’s investigation, authorities said.

District officials said Chapman has been removed from all duties.
