Glendale residents redouble opposition to stayAPT plan

Council decision set in December

It may be unpopular in and around its potential neighborhood, but the owners of the stayAPT proposed on the northwest corner of West Camino San Xavier and North 73rd Avenue in Glendale are determined to have the council vote on the project.

Phoenix-based Tiffany & Bosco P.A. filed an application appeal request Sept. 27 after the Glendale Planning Commission unanimously voted Sept. 14 in favor of a recommendation to deny a conditional use permit required for the extended-stay hotel to operate.

As of mid-November, the Glendale City Council is scheduled to hear and vote on the stayAPT permit at its Dec. 12 meeting.
