Glendale Police shoot man in midst of public domestic violence incident

Woman treated for injuries, perpetrator recovering

A man armed with a knife was shot and injured by Glendale Police Wednesday morning during a domestic violence incident in public

Just before 10 a.m. May 20, Glendale Police responded to a business in the area of 63rd Avenue and Bell Road to a suspicious person call.  Witnesses say a man and a woman arrived at a pawn shop where the woman  attempted to purchase a firearm.

When she was speaking with the store manager, she showed the manager a large cut on her hand and mouthed the words, “Call 911.” At that point, the man became upset, so the manager called police.
