Glendale police search for child crimes suspect
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Glendale police seeks the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in crimes against children.
Between Aug. 10, 2019 and Feb. 24, the individual represented by the above forensic sketch is believed to have victimized at least three children inside grocery stores along Bethany Home Road between 58th and 67th avenues.
In these cases, the suspect waited until children between 13 to 15 were alone. He approached the victims with a handshake and then pulled the victim’s hands toward his body, placing their hands on his genitals, police said.
Victims and witnesses have described the suspect as a Hispanic male with light complexion or a Caucasian male with dark complexion. He is believed to be 30-40 with short black hair — possibly thinning. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and around 200 pounds. Witnesses described his nose as distinctively curved down like a “bird’s beak” and a scar across the bridge. He spoke with a thick Spanish accent.
Anyone with information can call Glendale police at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
