Glendale police: Robber attacks man while asking for bus money

Glendale police say a man was attacked Saturday night by a person asking for bus fare money, according to a report.
The incident occurred April 15 at about 10:30 p.m. Glendale Police Department officers learned three victims - a man, woman and child - were in the area of 5600 W. Dailey St. near Thunderbird Road and 59th Avenue when a man approached them asking for bus fare.
The suspect then struck the male victim in the face while he removed money from his wallet. The male suspect displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and took the victim’s wallet. He left the area and traveled northbound on foot, according to the report.
Officers responded immediately but contact with the victims was delayed due to having to find their actual location.
Police established a perimeter and used a K9 unit but did not locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male between 20 and 30, between 5 feet 10 inches tall and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a tribal tattoo on his right hand. He wore a black-hooded jacket and a surgical mask to conceal his face, the report states.
