Glendale police need help identifying suspects involved in a homicide from over the weekend.

Just after 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, officers responded to numerous ShotSpotter activations near the 6500 block of W. Rose Lane. Additionally, multiple 911 callers advised they could hear gunshots and cars speeding away through the area. ShotSpotter is technology that provides real-time gunshot location data anywhere in the city.

Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male victim in the backyard of a residence. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Victor Daniel Ruiz Reyes, according to GPD.

The investigation determined there was a large party in the area when the homicide occurred. Glendale Police Department homicide detectives are investigating and believe there are additional witnesses to this offense who have not come forward.

GPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying anyone involved.

Any residents with information are asked to contact Glendale police at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
