A man was shot Wednesday afternoon at a home in Glendale, according to a police spokesperson.

The incident occurred at about 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 5400 block of West Ocotillo Road.

The spokesperson said patrol responded to a report of a shooting. A caller advised officials that they heard a gun shot and then a man’s voice yelling, “Why did you shoot me?”

The shooting happened inside a home in the area. An initial attempt to call out the occupants was unsuccessful.

Upon entrance, officers contacted four occupants. Officers learned a shooting occurred inside.

The homeowner had called the police department and advised them she was told by a third party that the injured man was taken to a local hospital.

Police located him at the hospital with a minor leg wound. He refused all cooperation with the police. His girlfriend was present and also would not provide a proper account of the occurrence, according to the spokesperson.

The case is still under investigation.
