Police are investigating a collision in which a vehicle ran into the back of a trailer Tuesday night in Glendale.
At about 9:50 p.m. Feb. 14, a tan sedan was travelling westbound on Glendale Avenue, past 99th Avenue. The sedan collided with the trailer portion of a tractor-trailer rig, which had turned onto Glendale Avenue from a private drive.
After the initial collision, the sedan rolled off the roadway to the north side of the street. Police identified the driver as a 21-year-old male. A medical unit transported him to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the rig was not injured.
The Glendale Police Department is investigating the incident to see if speed and/or impairment were factors for the driver of the sedan.
