Glendale police arrested two people early Saturday morning after a vehicle burglary, according to a report.

The incident occurred April 1 at about 1:50 a.m. near the 6100 block of West Marlette Avenue.

According to police, officers were dispatched in response to a vehicle burglary call. A female victim told police three suspects were near her car, with one of them entering it.

She provided a description of the suspects and their direction of travel. A male officer located the three suspects, but two of them fled on foot. The officer apprehended one suspect and a struggle ensued, according to the report.

Officers then forced the suspect’s hand from his waistband where he had a stolen handgun.

One of the other suspects remained at the scene and complied with police. The third suspect was not located.

Officer arrested and identified two of the suspects as Kevin Quezada, 19, and Dashawn Eggleston, 19.

According to the Marciopa County Sheriff’s Office, Quezada faces three counts of burglary and one count each of possession of weapon in a drug offense, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, obstruction and concealed carry without a permit. Eggleston faces at least the burglary charge.

Police located several other vehicles that had also been broken into, according to the report.
