Glendale planning to demolish unsafe structures around town

HUD grant money designated to take some buildings down, help others

Unsafe private structures in need of demolition around Glendale will soon be coming down.

The city has designated a portion of $3.3 million in FY 2021-22 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Planning and Development grant money to devote to upcoming demolition projects, as well as home repair programs for low- to moderate-income homeowners.

Exact locations of the privately-owned structures up for demolition remains to be seen as the process to prioritize sites begins in earnest.
