Glendale nonprofit to host free food box distribution
A Glendale nonprofit will host a drive to give away free food boxes for neighbors in need.
The Brighter View Life Enrichment was started to help connect the community at large to the resources available to enrich lives and help those in need when they need it most. The foundation’s goal is to provide supportive independent living resources to under-served seniors, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and caregivers that care for them.
Other programs support less fortunate and economically disadvantaged individuals by providing vital resources.

The food box distribution goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at Brighter View Foundation, 4341 W. Bell Road, Glendale. Guests can drive through the back for car-side pickup or go inside.
“Right now, a staggering number of our neighbors are at risk of hunger,” a Brighter View Foundation news release states. “The pandemic brought hardship to many households in Arizona. Thousands are still trying to recover. Many of our neighbors are missing meals because of limited budgets and having to cope with rising food costs on top of everything else.”
