Glendale looks to move water rate increase to October

Council learns toward adding stormwater fee

Glendale has not formalized a water rate increase to take effect this October instead of next January, but city officials have set the motion in process.

The council reached a consensus at a Feb. 11 meeting to start a public outreach process through April on a potential 8.8% rate increase residents would see on their October bills as well as the introduction of a monthly $3 stormwater fee for all city water customers.

A public hearing and formal council vote on any rate adjustment would come in June.
