Halloween spirits are coming to downtown Glendale this weekend.

Visit Old Towne District for Halloween Hometown Happening celebrations throughout the Catlin Court District starting at 10 a.m. both on Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22.

Many shops will offer extended hours for the event.

"We are excited to showcase Halloween-themed specials at the locally-owned shops and eateries, hands-on activities, and trick or treating at participating businesses," Danica Coral, event chairperson and owner of Pink House Boutique, 7009 N. 58th Ave., shared in a press release.

Activities include Halloween family photo stations, a costume contest for all ages, Halloween crafters, a guided haunted tour, trick or treating at participating businesses, kids’ Halloween tea, themed activities, a Halloween charm for your Historic Downtown Glendale charm bracelet, a witches pageant, a witches brunch/lunch, a witches bike ride and more.

Start your day at the Arizona Information Center, 5836 W. Palmaire Ave., to pick up your event map. Dressing in costume is encouraged.

The Halloween Hometown Happening is presented by the Historic Downtown Glendale Merchants Association in partnership with the downtown business community.
