Glendale hero sister honored for saving toddler brother from backyard pool

Things took an urgent turn on an otherwise normal Sunday for a family lounging together in their Glendale backyard.

Three-year-old Laiken Holmstrom was pulled from the swimming pool.

“This was my worst nightmare,” mom Tiinaliisa Holmstrom said, “… and I actually had to live it.”
