Glendale haz mat call sickens urgent care staffers

Unidentifiable smoke closes office

The Glendale Fire Department answered a haz mat call that left some urgent care staffers feeling ill.

Glendale Fire was dispatched around 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1 to Banner Urgent Care at 7952 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale, when a patient reportedly smoked an unknown substance in the urgent care bathroom and then left the business, authorities say.

Staff saw smoke from the bathroom and reportedly began to feel ill, a Glendale Fire report states.
