Glendale Foodie Watch: Phoenix Phresh

Posted

You’re hungry, you’re in Glendale, and you’re making healthy choices.

There’s a spot for that.

Phoenix Phresh, a family-owned restaurant and café located at 59th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, has everything from salads and sandwiches to wraps and smoothies to açaí and pitaya bowls.

If you’re new to Phoenix Phresh we recommend starting with the Albacore Tuna sandwich (pictured). It’s a mix of tuna salad, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pepperoncini, and cheddar cheese on sourdough bread. It’s as great as it sounds, and just 480 calories with 40 grams of protein.

Even a bag of Popchips on the side keeps things healthy.

Address: 5830 W. Thunderbird Road, Suite B9

Hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday
