Glendale COVID cases pass 20,000 mark

One ZIP code has surged 95% in 6 weeks

Glendale continues to experience high increases in coronavirus cases.

According to case counts the Arizona Department of Health Services provided Dec. 21, the total number from Glendale’s nine most populous ZIP codes passed the 20,000 mark, with 20,408. That represents an increase of 17% since Dec. 11.

Across the state, Arizona added 7,748 cases and one death on Monday, Dec. 21. Also reported is an availability of only 8% of adult ICU beds throughout the state as of Dec. 20.
