Baker, Goreé leads dwindle slightly in Glendale council election

Calles, Baldenegro percentages grow in early morning update

Both Glendale City Council candidates trailing their races in early Tuesday night returns received some solace in a pre-dawn update at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Ocotillo District incumbent Leandro Baldenegro trailed Rory Goreé by 159 votes initially. As of Wednesday he is closer to Goreé in terms of percentage though Goreé is now up 179 votes, with 788 votes (56.4%) compared to Baldenegro's 609 (43.6%).

Lisa Baker's advantage over Michael Calles in the Barrel District shrank in the July 22 update. She was up 204 votes in the earliest returns and now has a 189-vote lead, showing 2,020 votes (52.5%) versus Calles' 1,831 votes (47.5%).
