Glendale will not revisit idea to not televise public comments

Glendale City Council members appear to have dropped an ill-fated bid to not televise public comments by residents and guests on Channel 11 or streaming platforms.

The council appeared ready to make the change after the Nov. 26 workshop. They reached a 5-2 council consensus to modify the citizen comment period by simply not streaming or televising it.

However, the council decided not to consider this as a voting item Nov. 26 and 13 speakers remained at the meeting, all of them against not providing a video recording or live streaming.
