Glendale considers $1,500 bonuses for all city employees

Fire, police also ‘winding up’ discussions with city for additional stipend

City of Glendale employees may soon be getting $1,500 bonuses.

The city council at its Tuesday workshop discussed ways to apply parts of the American Rescue Plan Act funds the city received as part of the federal stimulus to boost the economy during pandemic-caused challenges.

Eligible uses include employee retention incentives, and the city looks to be planning $1,500 across-the-board bonuses to all full-time staffers for putting in extra time and assuming health risks while continuing in their duties during COVID.
