Glendale Community College celebrates student-staffed cyber security center

Paradise Valley CC also part of homeland security network

Student interns at two of the Maricopa Community Colleges are not watching more experienced cybersecurity professionals work at regional security operations centers on campus.

They are diving in, identifying, determining the severity of and eliminating ransomware and other online threats through a partnership between the colleges and the Arizona Department of Homeland Security.

Glendale Community College celebrated the opening of its RSOC as well as another similar facility at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix on June 29. Both centers for the central region began work in the fall.
