Glendale to consider additional $519K for citywide sports courts

Deal would expand current work with Elite Sports Builders

Glendale recreation sports enthusiasts take note — the city may be adding new sports courts citywide.

The Glendale City Council at its Tuesday evening voting meeting will consider expanding its services contract with Elite Sports Builders LLC to increase the current scope of agreed-upon work to include the installation, resurfacing, restoration and repairs of additional sport courts citywide, and increases the compensation by $519,439.

The city previously contracted with Elite Sports Builders for the pickleball court conversions at Bonsall Park, 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, and the construction of new pickleball courts on the north end of town at Foothills Park, 5708 W. Union Hills Drive.
