Desert Diamond Arena, managed by ASM Global, has appointed Nick Byer as the venue’s new assistant general manager.
Byer brings more than 15 years of experience in the sports and live-entertainment industry to Desert Diamond Arena with a resume that spans more than six states, five arenas and three club venues. Most recently, Byer served as the general manager for House of Blues Boston where he led the venue to a No. 2 ranking in the world for tickets sold in 2021, followed by a No. 1 ranking in 2022.
As assistant general manager, Byer will support Desert Diamond Arena’s general manager, Dale Adams, with day-to-day operations. He will focus on event services, operations and ancillary revenue generation and collaborate closely with senior management on strategic business decisions and booking to drive programming to the arena.
“Nick has incredible experience and a proven track record in the arena, sports and live event space; and we are excited for him to bring his knowledge and enthusiasm here to help continue to expand our footprint in Arizona,” Adams stated.
Desert Diamond Arena, at 9400 W Maryland Ave., is located in the Westgate Entertainment District.
