The Glendale City Council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday night authorizing abandoning three rights of way in the city.
Most notably, Glendale surrendered part of the 95th Avenue right of way and associated public utility easement adjacent to the VAI Resort Office Complex, 9481 W. Montebello Ave.
“It is currently being used for stormwater retention. This area will be incorporated into the (VAI) development while maintaining the required drainage capacity and the city will retain the public utilities for potential future infrastructure needs and improvements,” Glendale Engineering Services Director Djordje Pavlovic said April 14 during the meeting.
