Glendale approves budget as city surpasses $1B for a 2nd time

Property tax rate to decrease in 2022-23

For the second time in the city’s history, Glendale surpassed $1 billion for its total budget.

The city council on Tuesday evening unanimously voted in favor of a $1.07 billion fiscal year 2022-23 final budget. The final approval comes one month after the budget in the same amount also was tentatively OK’d.

Adjustments and reallocation of appropriation authority may be made after adoption of the tentative budget, although the total amount of appropriation cannot be increased.
