When visitors fly into Glendale for the Super Bowl in four months, the party will start at the airport.
The city entered into a $125,000 agreement with Themers, a Mesa-based company specializing in special event production, including corporate and commercial events, to make the Glendale brand stand out for visitors upon arrival at the municipal airport. Or, in the economic development office’s words, “to provide an immersive experience for those travelers who will be arriving in Glendale via the City’s airport.”
The expenditure was budgeted as part of the city’s allocated funds to support Glendale’s role as host of Super Bowl LVII. The big game kicks off at State Farm Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 12.
