Glendale 911 communications staff down almost one-third

GPD recruiting to fill positions

The city of Glendale’s dispatch center needs employees.

Sgt. John Davidge, of the city’s personnel management unit, noted recently that there are 10 openings in the communications center. That is down almost one-third from the more normal staffing of 36.

The dispatch center is a critical part of the 911 process, and requires specific skills.
