Giles: Congress must end government overreach

Posted

I am Dave Giles, and I am running for U.S. Congress in Arizona’s Congressional District 4 (Arizona CD4, formerly CD9).

I have lived in Arizona for 20 years since retiring from consultation with Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

I believe and support the U.S. Constitution. Our Constitution has made America the greatest country in the world and will continue to do so as long as we defend it. I will go to congress defending our Constitution, states’ rights, and your rights as outlined in the Tenth Amendment.

Since I am self-financed, if elected, I will not owe favors to anyone. In addition, I will donate my salary except for expenses.

America’s issues: Border security; immigration reform; states obligations! These are all expected for any representative! Let’s stop being clouded by irrelevant issues and focus on government overreach!

Return to the states what is not specified in the Constitution! Government overreach has been going on for years, stealing our rights and our states’ rights. Now it is time to reign in unconstitutional laws!

Such as:

  • Finish the border wall and secure our borders (Stop the invasion).
  • Voter integrity, stop fraud (voter ID, decertify 2020).
  • Repair economy and free enterprise (remove restrictions).
  • Limit mandates to a week (i.e.: mask and vaccine).
  • Return education to the states.
  • Stop taking political prisoners (Jan. 6) — repeal the Patriot Act.
  • Support Second Amendment (repeal Class III).
  • Initiate term limits for House and Senate.
  • Deport all illegals beginning with criminals.
  • Separate what is state from federal (Tenth Amendment).
  • Increase Socials Security benefits (payments).
  • Increase veterans assistance.
  • Support first responders.

We can stop government overreach!

I am technically competent, business oriented and a man of faith. I can solve complex problems, manage complex issues and do as I promise.

I am not a motivational speaker, but my values are clear. I am not a lawyer; I cannot speak legalese and I will not come at you sideways.

I am dedicated to serve you full time, both in Arizona and Washington, D.C., without any constraints or abandoning any obligations.

Editor’s note: Republican David Giles is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives representing Congressional District 4.
