Two women-owned retailers will open this summer at Gilbert’s Verde at Cooley Station. 

Sophie May Boutique opens June 23 at 3939 E. Williams Field Road, suite 101. The shop from owner Erika Hilligas offers a handpicked collection of women's and young contemporary apparel, accessories and shoes.  

The 780-square-foot space was designed especially for Sophie May with custom furniture and fitting rooms.   

The grand opening at 4 p.m. June 23 will feature a $500 gift card giveaway, surprise gift cards ranging from $10-$100 for the first 50 shoppers and discounts all weekend.

Sip and Shop: A Local Collection, owned by Tiffany Shultz, is anticipating a mid-July opening at 2864 S. Recker Road, suite 101.  

The 4,000-square-foot store has a wine and beer bar for guests to sip while shopping for a diverse range of offerings from vendors, including jewelry, boutique clothing, home, baby, food and drink options and more.  

The store has a patio, wall mural, custom event spaces and hosts classes, events, and tastings.
