Gilbert vice mayor hospitalized but OK

Gilbert Vice Mayor Chuck Bongiovanni was hospitalized Thursday for an infection but said Friday morning he is OK.

Bongiovanni stated in a text message he expects to be in the hospital for four to five days while receiving an IV infusion.

"Thank God I'm out of the woods of anything serious," he said by text.
