Gilbert Town Clerk: Alliance for Scottsdale Future needed to report campaign finances

Alliance CEO promises to appeal the decision in court

The Alliance for Scottsdale’s Future nonprofit did break campaign finance laws for running newspaper ads disparaging four city council members, including one who is currently running for reelection, and not reporting the expenses, according Gilbert Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera.

Herrera has referred the case Scottsdale City Attorney Luis Santaella to enforce her ruling.
