A Gilbert-based mother and son duo have recently gone viral for their story.

Melanie Shaha was first diagnosed with a benign pituitary tumor in 2003. She underwent two brain surgeries in 2003 and 2006, successfully removing the tumor.

That is, until it returned in 2017.
