New report outlines spending for Gilbert school districts

Districts see decrease in instructional spending but remain above state levels

Instructional spending decreased last school year in all three school districts serving the town of Gilbert but remained above state averages, according to the Auditor General’s Office annual report.

The decreased instructional spending is in line with most of the state, as more than 50% of the state’s districts also had a decline.

Overall classroom spending in the three districts remained above 70% in fiscal year 2021-22, according to the report.
