The community is invited to a memorial ceremony to remember the lives lost and first responders who answered the call on 9/11.

The ceremony, which will include Gilbert Fire and Rescue and the Gilbert Police Department, will begin 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at 9/11 Memorial Plaza, 50 E. Civic Center Drive.

A Tribute in Light will take place 7:30-9:30 p.m. when two beams of light will be projected into the sky to symbolize the World Trade Center’s towers.

The town’s water tower will be illuminated red, white and blue on Sept. 11.
