Gilbert police have released new details about two fatal officer-involved shootings this summer, including one involving a man accused of killing two people and another involving a knife-wielding man who reportedly asked police to shoot him.
The Gilbert Police Department released critical incident video briefings Nov. 4 on the separate shootings, which occurred Aug. 1 near the 100 block of South Lindsay Road and Sept. 15 near the 900 block of East San Remo Street.
Both incidents remain under investigation by the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, which conducts independent criminal investigations of police uses of deadly force.
