Gilbert Public Schools tying instructional coaches, technology educators together

Gilbert Public Schools officials are encouraging the district’s instructional coaches and technology integration educators to work together to support student learning.

The two groups frequently cross paths in classrooms, so the district decided to bring them together quarterly this school year “so that all of our arrows are pointing in the right direction,” Technology Executive Director Jon Castelhano said.

Instructional coaches focus on working with teachers to implement effective instructional strategies. Technology integration educators, or TIEs, help integrate technology into classrooms, using tools like Chromebooks and robotics to engage students.
