Gilbert police make second arrest in assault outside home

The Gilbert Police Department has made another arrest in a teen violence case related to an assault outside a Gilbert residence, officials said.

A 17-year-old juvenille was arrested Jan. 25 in connection with the case from Nov. 22, 2022, which was not reported until Jan. 4, 2024, police said. The home is near Higley and Riggs roads.

The teen was referred for two counts of aggravated assault charges to Maricopa County Juvenile Court, police said.

The Gilbert Police Department has made another arrest in a teen violence case related to an assault outside a Gilbert residence, officials said.

A 17-year-old juvenille was arrested Jan. 25 in connection with the case from Nov. 22, 2022, which was not reported until Jan. 4, 2024, police said. The home is near Higley and Riggs roads.

The teen was referred for two counts of aggravated assault charges to Maricopa County Juvenile Court, police said.

Previously, Kyler Renner, 18, was arrested Jan. 24 in connection with the incident.

The investigation is active and ongoing, but is independent of Queen Creek’s investigation into the death of Preston Lord, police said.
