Gilbert police, fire promote safety, inclusion through S.A.F.E. Public Safety Day 

Burke Harvey wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. 

If he does so, the 9-year-old will be following in the footsteps of his dear old dad, Garrett Harvey, an engineer with the Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department. 

But Garrett may not get all the credit for the career aspirations. Burke is growing up with his dad working in a department that carries a Certified Autism Center designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. Burke is neurodivergent.
