Gilbert police arrest two in alleged drugging, sexual assault scheme 

Gilbert Police arrested two men after what investigators describe as a yearlong pattern of drugging and sexual violence against the wife of one of the men. 

Austin Nelson, 38, and Evan Torres, 41, have been booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges, Sgt. Jordan Truckenbrod said by email. 

Truckenbrod said officers opened an investigation Dec. 14 after it was alleged Nelson had repeatedly administered a drug to his wife without her knowledge or consent.
