Gilbert looking for service projects for volunteers

Posted

The town of Gilbert is looking for potential service projects for its next Day of Service on April 15, especially from seniors who may need some extra help.

Projects can include assistance with light yardwork, removal of boxes and bags for donations, help with trash and recycling, or changing lightbulbs, air filters, smoke detector batteries, and more.

The deadline to request assistance is March 31.

Those interested in in receiving assistance on that day are asked to fill out and return a form on the town’s website.

All decisions concerning applicants, recipients and projects are at the discretion of the Gilbert Community Resources Office. There is no guarantee that any applicant or recipient will be accepted, or project be completed.

The recipients will be contacted to confirm their request has been accepted.

The form can be found at www.gilbertaz.gov/community/residents/volunteer/day-of-service-resident-application on the website.
