Gilbert hosting Holiday Water Tower Lighting

Gilbert will kick off the holiday season Monday, Nov. 27, with its annual Water Tower Holiday Lighting at the Water Tower Plaza.

Gilbert Mayor Brigette Peterson and the Gilbert Town Council will be on hand to light the Water Tower in holiday colors. The event will go from 6-8:30 p.m.

Rockin' Wonderland from Brock Pro Entertainment will provide the entertainment.

Activities will include Penguin Whack-a-Mole, a ring toss and a Christmas family photo opportunity with a classic sleigh. There will also be a letter-writing station where families can write a letter to Santa together with a mailbox at the event where letters can be dropped off.

Holiday-themed hot cocoa, gourmet cookies and other snacks will be on site. The town also encourages guests to eat at one of the local restaurants downtown.

The event is fully accessible by strollers, wheelchairs and walkers. Leashed pets are allowed at this event, but the town asks pet owners to pick up after them. ASL Interpreters will be on-site translating all announcements.
