A man connected with the Gilbert Goons was arrested last week on suspicion of an alcohol offense — the same day he was sentenced for his role in an assault in Gilbert in 2022, police said.
Jacob Pennington, 20, was arrested and booked into the Gilbert-Chandler Unified Holding Facility and charged with minor in consumption of alcohol, a class 2 misdemeanor. An officer made a traffic stop of Pennington at 10:46 p.m. June 13 after a patrol officer observed a criminal traffic violation, according to Gilbert Police.
Pennington was released from custody June 14 after his initial appearance in Gilbert Municipal Court.
