Gila River bridge project causes traffic delays in Florence

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to plan for alternating lane restrictions on State Route 79 as work progresses on the building of the new Gila River bridge.

The restrictions are affecting Florence residents.

ADOT was reporting heavy delays near the bridge on Saturday, Feb. 25. The department is advising drivers to use alternate routes until further notice.
