The city-owned Gila River Arena in Glendale recorded its highest attendance and highest grossing month ever in May.
Over a two-week period of time from May 9 through May 21, Gila River Arena, located at 9400 W. Maryland Ave., welcomed more than 63,000 guests and hosted five premium events including Pearl Jam, Eric Church, Snoop Dogg & Ice Cube, Stars on Ice, and Premier Boxing Champions: Benavidez vs. Lemieux, according to a news release from the arena.
The venue opened in 2003, and is managed by ASM Global.
