Breast cancer exams dipped during pandemic, but still vital

Tracy Lloyd wasn’t going to get checked.

Lloyd, who works in outpatient imaging at Banner Health, always made a point of getting a routine mammogram — especially after her sister, Inga, died of breast cancer.

There was no lump, no symptoms, no nothing. Her appointment was scheduled for March 2020 — the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She thought she could skip the appointment.
