It’s no surprise Clay Allsop has had a seat on the Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission for seven years.

Serving as a commissioner, his roots in the planning of the city lay to waste any illusion that he should be anywhere else.

His father, David, was the master developer for the 1,200-acre Aloravita community in north Peoria.
