Grand Canyon University is planning to add a floor to an existing campus building to house its Honors College.

The Honors College has existed since 2013, but without a designated space on the campus at 3300 W. Camelback Road.

The addition, which the university received preliminary site plan approval from the city of Phoenix on Wednesday, Jan. 14, will add a third story to the two-story College of Education building, which is building No. 33 on campus.
