Glendale Community College will be playing sports this upcoming spring season.
The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) announced Nov. 25 that it will not cancel college athletics for spring 2021. MCCCD athletic teams will be allowed to hold practices and competitions beginning Jan. 4, as long as they incorporate the district’s mandatory Return to Play (RTP) safety guidelines.
The main campus, at 6000 W. Olive Ave., is scheduled to host baseball with a noon doubleheader against Mesa on Jan. 30, and softball with a 1 p.m. game against Central Arizona on March 9.
