Gaye Diane Estey

SUN CITY WEST — On the evening of Oct. 29, 2015, Gaye Diane (Timmermann) Estey passed away peacefully at Banner Hospice House in Sun City West, Arizona. Gaye was born in the town of West Point in Cuming County, Nebraska, on February 28, 1945. She was the only child of Karl H. Timmermann and LaVera (Meyer) Timmermann Hansen. In 1951, after the passing of her father, Gaye and her mother moved to Colorado, eventually taking up roots in Lakewood. Gaye’s mother married Jack D. Hansen of Denver, Colorado, in 1955. He loved Gaye dearly. Gaye graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1963. She attended Mesa Community College in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she met Frank C. Estey. They were married 20 years and share two daughters. Gaye is survived by her two daughters, Kristine and Karleen; five grandchildren, Rachel, Colton, Olivia, Kallie, and Amelia; and two great grandsons; and Mr. Frank. Gaye loved to read, dance, and roller skate. She enjoyed morning walks with her furry little friend, Bella. Gaye was preceded in death by her parents, LaVera and Jack Hansen; as well as her father, Karl H. Timmermann. Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West.
