Gas prices at pumps throughout the city of Glendale have remained relatively static over the past month, with some exceptions — and maybe not the kind you’d expect.
Prices per gallon have risen dramatically throughout 2022, yet in the past month or so prices are actually down at five pumps around town. The biggest fall seen as of April 6 is the QuikTrip at 5082 NW Grand Ave., which according to Autoblog showed a price of $4.29 as of Wednesday. That station’s pumps were at $4.59 on March 10.
AAA, meanwhile, on Thursday reported that the current average for a regular gallon of gas in Glendale, now at $4.629, is ever so slightly down from one week ago, when it hit $4.696. That’s of little consequence to Glendale drivers who were paying an average of $3.705 as recently as February, and have seen that price increase 25% since then.
